Serena Curtis obtained her bilingual Bachelor of Arts degree in Language and Linguistics from York University, and her Communicative Disorders Assistant certificate from Durham College. She holds a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology specializing in Special Education and Literacy Intervention, from the University of Alberta. Her thesis was based on language development and intervention for young children who have experienced trauma. She recently completed the Meaningful Speech for Gestalt Language Processors course and certification.

Serena’s younger brother, has a developmental disability and received speech and language services growing up, seeing how this therapy helped him, has fueled her dedication as a clinician. In Serena’s 9+ years of practice she has extensive experience in early language intervention, speech production, articulation, literacy, language delays, social communication, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and intervention for those on the Autism Spectrum. Her experience supporting individuals aged 2-25 years old was obtained in clinic, private practice, non profit organizations and school board settings.
