Registered Speech-Language Pathologist
Denitsa, founder of The Communication Clinic, is a speech-language pathologist with years of experience providing speech-language services to children and young people. She holds a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and has completed advanced training in the Orton-Gillingham approach, along with Meaningful Speech, the SOS Approach to Feeding, several Hanen programs (It Takes Two to Talk, More Than Words, Target Word, and ABC and Beyond), and certification as an ESDM (Early Start Denver Model) Therapist. Her practice is inspired by the Greenspan Floortime Approach, with an emphasis on meeting each child through play and connection.
Denitsa has experience supporting autistic children and young people. Working with individuals across a wide range of ages and support needs, from early childhood through adolescence. This work has become a defining focus of her practice. She has a particular interest in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) for non-speaking and minimally speaking children.
She also works with children across speech, language, and social communication, with other clinical interests including dyslexia, early language development, and feeding difficulties. Denitsa uses a flexible, evidence-based approach, adapting therapy to each child’s individual strengths, needs, and goals.
Denitsa is fluent in English and Bulgarian and provides services in both languages.
In her free time, Denitsa enjoys tennis and appreciates the arts.
