Speech-Language Assessments

Author: Mock Webware |

A speech-language assessment provides us with detailed information about your child’s strengths and areas of need with respect to communication and/or swallowing.

We start by completing an intake form, which helps us select appropriate testing materials and provides background information on your child. For young children, we often use play-based assessments; for older children, we have several tools at our disposal, including standardized speech and language tests. We often use interviews and observations to supplement our formal procedures. Assessment results will outline whether therapy is warranted and provide the recommended frequency and duration of treatment sessions. An outlined treatment plan can be provided upon request.
